Business Development

YM BioSciences’ business model is to advance products along the drug development, clinical and regulatory pathways to establish clinical efficacy, safety and commercial viability.  Once these key clinical and commercial factors are established, we seek appropriate global or regional partners to further develop and commercialize our products.

Out-Licensing: Cultivating Partnerships
YM BioSciences’ out-licensing philosophy is to establish collaborations with partners that possess key clinical development and commercialization expertise and capabilities needed to advance YM BioSciences’ products to regulatory approval and commercialization throughout the world.

Alliances

YM BioSciences and its subsidiaries have established collaborations for product development and commercialization with companies around the world, including Daiichi-Sankyo Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., Kuhnil Pharmaceutical Company, Innogene Kalbiotech, Oncoscience AG, the Center of Molecular Immunology in Cuba, Pulmokine, and Cancer Therapeutics CRC (CTx) in Australia.

Current Out-Licensing Opportunities

  • Global development of CYT387, an oral small molecule dual JAK1/2 inhibitor currently in Phase I/II development.

  • We are interested in identifying partners for North American development of nimotuzumab, an anti-cancer EGFR-targeting antibody.

  • We are soliciting interest from potential partners for the global development of CYT997, a novel oral vascular disrupting agent for the treatment of cancer.

  • In addition to our clinical-stage products, we have a library of more than 4,000 novel compounds identified through internal research conducted at YM BioSciences Australia, certain of which are available for potential development in various indications.

  • We also welcome the opportunity to discuss potential collaborations for certain of our JAK 1 and JAK 2 inhibitors for development outside of oncology.
